Lightpoint was born in 2013 from a simple question: can we go through the pains of measuring exemplar vehicles so the community doesn't have to? What began as 40 skeletal models built by Lou Peck in his home office has grown into an industry resource led by a dedicated team.
Today, Lightpoint is where recons go for the highest quality data, software, and education. From point clouds to vPrism, we invest the time to create detailed, reliable solutions that are accessible to everyone.

Lou Peck MSME, ACTAR, PE
Lou leads our product development and educational development. With 20+ years of experience as a collision reconstructionist he has a solid understanding of the challenges his colleagues face and creates content and products accordingly.
He holds two degrees in mechanical engineering and developed Northwestern's Motorcycle Collision Reconstruction course. He has published many papers in the field of collision reconstruction exploring photogrammetry, video analysis, motorcycle impact analysis, human factors, etc., and continues to prioritize elevating the collision reconstruction community via education.
Sam McCool-Hill BS
Sam oversees Lightpoint's operations and digital infrastructure. Having been a key part of the team since 2020, she has been a part of Lightpoint's growth from its early products to its current role as a leader in reconstruction education and data.
Beyond daily logistics, Sam plays a central role in the delivery of Lightpoint's expanding catalog of courses and tools. By managing the full lifecycle of our offerings, including the podcasts, newsletters, and Lightpoint Learning, she ensures that as the company continues to innovate, our operations and customer support remain as precise as our data.
Videolabs
VideoLabs engineers the software behind vPrism, bringing specialized expertise in video processing, multimedia systems, and professional software development to Lightpoint’s forensic-video workflow.
Working alongside Lightpoint, the VideoLabs team turns practitioner-driven requirements into a reliable, purpose-built analysis platform. Their depth in video engineering and software development helps ensure that vPrism is technically rigorous and capable of handling the realities of complex video evidence.
As vPrism continues to develop, VideoLabs provides the technical expertise needed to implement new capabilities, expand format support, and maintain dependable performance.
